Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m having some pain in my belly button. It is very tender to the touch or when I lean against something. My doctor did tell me I had a hernia that I never knew about. She said that just by seeing my belly button. Will tylenol or aleve help? Thanks, Rita
Hi, Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from umbilical hernia as your doctor has told you after seeing umbilicus (belly button). In this condition some of abdominal contents came out of gap in the umbilicus.Tylenol or aleve will give relief in pain caused by it ,but condition will not be relieved by these. Its treatment is operative. You should consult general surgeon for it. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
