Why Is My Baby Passing Stools Frequently?

Hi,My baby is going motion 5 to 6 times a day...she is 6 months old..weight 6.5kgs We are giving mother feed and Cerelac and some time Rice feeding cerelac has been started recently around 10 days back. Is this due to feeding cerelac for the first time?External milk very rarely once in two days.Consulted Pediatrician, he told to use nor-metrogyl syrup.Please suggest us. Is this due to bacteria or any other reason.

Commonly diarrhea is due to Rota virus infection.
Change of diet also may lead to diarrhea temporarily.
