Why Is My Arm Paining?

Hi My left arm has been paining for about a year. I cannot stretch my left arm to scrub my right side of the back. The pain started at the socket. It has spread through the arm and back of my hand to the fingers. Sometimes I have a burning sensation on my arm. Now my shoulders feel tired most of the time. I had an Xray done, but nothing showed. What could be wrong? Ruth

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Due to compression of nerve root in cervical spine there is burning sensation and pain in arm.
I will advise you to MRI cervical spine for better diagnosis.

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic like pregabalin and methylcobalaminmedication can be started consulting your doctor.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more concern.
Warm Regards.
