Why Is Child Vomiting Continuously? Yellow, Bile? Why Explosive BM?

Hi, my almost 5 year old has been vomiting for the past hour (6 times). It is basically a yellow liquid. Not sure if its from the juice he had last night or is bile .He doesn t have a fever , however complains of an upset stomach and feeling warm. Has no diahorea, but has had an explosive bowel movement this morning and nothing since. Should we go to Dr or emergency room

Hi,

Excessive vomiting at the age of 5 needs to be taken seriously because it may cause dehydration. Therefore, the first step is to prevent the dehydration, the second to know the underlying cause of vomiting, most of the time it can be due to dyspepsia and third, it can be due to food poisoning. All these conditions need to be ruled out. Hospitalization is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
