Why Is Child Experiencing Night Tremors?
My 8 year old son is waking in the night very frightened and complaining of hearing loud noises in his head. He says he can hear himself speaking and the slightest noise as terrifyingly loud. He is so frightened at the time that it is difficult to comfort him. Is there a medical explanation for what he is experiencing?

Please check with near by neurologist it could be seizures. Get examined with EEG. If, not seizures it could be related to psychological stress. If your family history has schizophrenia get checked for that also.
