i am very sorry about the condition of your mom.
usually insulin will be started in a low dose first and slowly up titrated as per the requirements of patients.
i suggest to speak with treating doctor regarding sugar levels
you can also write back to us with a detail history of patient ,lab reports,total medication history,height and weight.
