Betnesol contains betamethasone which is given in 2 doses with 24 hrs apart for better lung maturity of the fetus around 30-32 weeks of gestation. It prevents respiratory distress in case of preterm delivery or premature baby.
There is no as such bad effect on giving recommended doses. It is always beneficial to baby.
Do periodic check up and continue prescribed medication. Also take healthy diet and adequate rest.
Be well and take care.

Hello dear...
Betnesol is a corticosteroid.
It is given to a woman in 8th month of pregnancy because Betnesol helps in maturation of lungs in the fetus.
It is usually given in those cases where termination of pregnancy may result in a premature baby.
Studies have shown that this medication has no future side effect on the mother & child.
In fact lives of many babies have been saved by administration of this medication.
Wishing a good health.
Thanks & take care.
