Why Is Naturogest And Sifasi Injection Prescribed During Pregnancy?
Hi doctor. I am 26yrs old. Married for 2yrs. Now I am 11 weeks pregnant. My doctor has prescribed me to take naturogest 200 mg every night until 14th week. She also suggested me to take sifasi 5000 iu injection every week. I am not sure why she prescribed all these. I got pregnancy result as weakly positive in 6th week. Plz advise me

It prevents miscarriage in first trimester, and hence has been prescribed until 14 weeks. Sifasi 5000 IU injection contains 'Human Chorionic Gonadotropin' as an ingredient.
This hormone supports the baby in the initial months of pregnancy, until 12 to 14 weeks, when the placenta takes over this function. In cases of high risk pregnancy (elderly mother, history of miscarriages, history of infertility, threatened abortion, spotting or bleeding) a combination of the above medications are administered to provide proper support to the developing embryo. Kindly take the medications as prescribed and do the necessary follow-up as advised.
