Why Is HPT Showing Positive And Ultrasound Showing Negative Pregnancy?

hello doctor, I have taken several pregnancy test, the last one, which I took today, showed a much darker line than the first one, that i took 4 days ago, and slightly darker than the one I took yesterday. Yesterday I had a ultrasound and they couldn't find anything, only a slightly thicker endometrium. I had my LMP 5 weeks ago and I wanted to know if it was to early for something to show up on the ultrasound or if I'm not pregnant, even though I've been having all the symptomps. Could you explain if this is possible? Thank you.

Hi,Dont worry, you are pregnant.
In transvaginal scan gestational sac should be seen at 5 weeks. You get your serum beta hcg level (blood examination) done. Gestational sac should be seen if beta hcg is 1000 in transvaginal scan & in transabdominal scan at 3000. If still gestational sac is not seen, ectopic pregnancy (extrauterine pregnancy) should be ruled out. For that beta hcg should be repeated after 48hrs. It doubles in 48hrs in normal pregnancy & in ectopic it does not double.
