Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to anxiety.

But, your past medical history is concerning about a cardiac arrhythmia and I would recommend excluding this possibility first.

So it is necessary to perform a physical examination by your GP, a resting ECG, a chest x ray study and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, thyroid hormone levels, fasting glucose, blood electrolytes, kidney and liver function tests, etc.).

An ambulatory 24-48 hours monitoring is necessary to exclude this disorder.

If all the above tests result normal, the main cause of your symptomatology would be just pure anxiety.

In such case, you should consult with a specialist of this field, to help you manage your anxiety.

Hope to have been of help!

Best regards,

Dr. Iliri
