hello
welcome to health care magic
do not worry. many a times labour pains do not start by the expected day. the pregnancy should not be allowed to go post term as the chances of the foetus passing meconium increase, that is the chances of distress to the baby increase. there are certain medications which can be given to soften and ripen the cervix so that labour begins. as the pains progress a drip (oxytocin drip) can be started. do not worry, it is only the 6th. the cervix can ripen and become soft and you may go into early labour in a weeks time.

Hi Muthushalini,
Welcome to HCM.
Some women do not experience labour pain. Labour pain may be delayed if the Last Menstrual period is wrong or you conceived much later. Only thing which can help to take decision is the latest Negative pregnancy test and earliest Positive pregnancy test and earliest sonography study. If these are not available then it is the clinical assessment which has to be relied on.
As for tips to get pain naturally, do daily casual walking, morning and evening for one hour, do light jobs in the house, drink plenty of water, eat lots of green fresh vegetables.
