welcome to health care magic,
colonoscopy is a simple day care procedure. the gastroentrologist will give you enema for clearing your large intestine contents then they will introduce a small tube through your anus and will visualise it .nothing to worry it is a simple non painful procedure. if you feel pain you can anytime covey it to the gastroentrologist and he will give you pain relievers. if you feel a mass pushing up your bottom,it may be due to some benign tumours for knowing that colonoscopy is done to you.
in my personal opinion if i were your treating physician i will see an ultrasound abdomen for you before doing a colonoscopy.
hope this explains
regards
Dr.Amarnath
