Why Having Sudden Growth In Pubic Hair At An Old Age?

I m a woman 71 years old. I have less and less body hair, which is fine. However, I noticed today that my public hair is growing (it hadn t been) and it s dark, not gray. Is this something to be concerned about? Should I make an appointment with a doctor?

Abnormal hair growth could be a sign of a hormonal imbalance, possibly in the adrenal glands or other glands. Yes, make an appointment with a doctor to start testing for this possibility. Generally they will start out with blood tests, and depending on the results, may have to do imaging studies of the particular gland that might be involved. Hope this helps.
