Why Having Night Sweats And Muscle Cramps In Legs While Taking Natural Hormone Therapy?

I am 61 yr old female and am taking natural hormone theorapy; progesterone and estrogen. My levels are good but I seem to be having night sweats when trying to sleep.....cold and then sweating thus waking me up. I cannot get a good night sleep. I also have had insomia for the last 30 yr and have to take a little valium to get to sleep.

I am also having alot of muscle cramps in legs. (This may not have anything to do with the above.)

I have a hyatle hernia in which I have to take acid relievers for daily. (I know this kind of medicine can mess with your iron levels) I have had my thyroid checked and is "normal" and supposedly not anemic and my hormone levels are good so what could all this be? My doctor "poopoos" my concerns away, probably because of my age)

hi healthcare magic user all this symptom are pointing towards postmenopausal features, I know you are having hormonal therapy please let me dose of estrogen and progesterone so that I can guide you further.
If I would have been your doctor I would advise you have daily exercise at list 30 min brisk walk, to follow healthy lifestyle meditation, healthy diet less oily fatty food, less refined carbohydrates ,rather than going for oral hormonal therapy go for estrogen patch or cream to avoid side effects of hormonal therapy. positive attitude towards life and keep yourself busy in your hobbies.
sometimes your will power works better than medicines please try this will help you.
