Why Has My Neck Been Sore And I Had Balancing Problems?

Ive had bad balance problems for 5 weeks, my mri came back normal. Ive got a loud hissing sound in my ears. none of the vertigo medicines are working ive had serc bethahistine, cinnarizine and several others.
My neck has been sore/stiff as well and ive had vommiting for five days in the middle of all this but this has stopped at present. I dont know what else to do ive been to the gp but they do not know what is causing this. I wish i could stop the dizziness/ lightheadedness.e

Welcome on HCM!

Your symptoms could be related to chronic degeneration of the cervical spine (also called cervical spondylarthrosis). A bulging cervical disc can not be excluded either.

Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for some other tests:

- a cervical spine X ray study
- PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation

A cervical spine CT scan or MRI would give more information on the above mentioned disorders.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
