Why Forgetting Things And Having Progressive Migraine After Having Seizure?
I m 16 and I had a seizure during the summer and face planted into a door and the floor. I scratched my forehead and was going in and out of consciousness for a while. Now I m forgetting a lot of stuff and I keep having progressive migraines that have been happening every day. Should I be worried, my mom won t take me to the hospital to be checked. Should I worry about my health further deteriorating
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a brain lesion.
From the other hand the fact that you have had a seizure followed by a head trauma, raises suspicions of possible intracranial bleeding (like delayed subdural hemorrhage, etc.).
The progressive deterioration in your clinical situation is really concerning.
So, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful neurological exam and performing some tests:
- a brain CT scan - an EEG - complete blood count - PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation - thyroid hormone levels.
A brain MRI may be needed.
Hope to have been helpful!
