Why Does The Eye Develops Pressure And A Small Bubble Appears In The Pupil After A Vitrectomy?
I had a vitrectomy appox. three weeks ago--the Dr. used gas bubbles and I have no vision and a small bubble appers on the pupil???Dr. reassures us that everything is fine and I wil be when bubble disappears??? Less then twenty four hours after the operation I developed pressure in the eye making it necessary to return the the Dr.
Hello It seems from the history that you have underwent vitrectomy following which you are having small bubble in the pupil. Following vitrectomy the surgeon will put air bubble to maintain the eye and no need to worry about it. The pressure is because of inflammation induced by the surgery and it requires treatment by anti glaucoma medications and it will be fine. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for further advice and follow up as per his advice.
Thank you
