Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Risperidone (Sizodon) is an atypical antipsychotic; the antipsychotic effect is apparently caused by dopamine and serotonin receptor blocking in CNS and is used in the management of psychotic disorders.

Parkin (Trihexyphenidyl) is an anticholinergic drug given along with risperidone to counter tardive dyskinesia; extrapyramidal symptoms such as dyskinesia which can be caused by risperidone as a side effect. Parkin is an adjuvant drug.
The primary drug is Risperidone (Sizodon).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Tushar Kanti Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
