Why Does My Mom Have Pain In Her Lower Right Ribs?

Hi doctor , my mother has a constant pain on her lower right side below the ribs going down to her pubic bone. She also has a constant dry cough and loss of appetite and is quite fatigued. Any information wold be greatly appreciated .

I can understand your mother's situation and problem.
Right sided lower rib pain with abdominal pain can be due to either lung pathology or abdominal pathology. Constant dry cough, loss of appetite etc suggest lung pathology more.
Lung pathology like pleural effusion, pneumonia, tuberculosis can cause similar symptoms.
Abdominal pathology like Hepatitis, appendicitis etc can cause similar symptoms.
So better to get done chest x ray to rule out lung causes and ultrasound examination of abdomen to rule out abdominal causes.
