Why Does My Infant Pass Yellow Urine With Odor ?

my baby born on 29 dec 2010, Birth wt is 2.6, now its 6.2kg, his urine is very smelly, yellowish in color and he did slight force while urination. what might be the cause?

first of all make sure the child is getting enough fluid .

Urine infection may b one reason for ur babys problem but if he strains to pass urine u need to check for any stricture in his urethra/ posterior urethral valves which r common in male infants.kindly consult a pediatrician/pediatric surgeon.till then get a urine routine n culture done n feed him adequately to prevent dehydration.
