Hi well come to HCM
There are all the chances that you may be having ventricular premature beats
which is giving you the feeling. This you can confirm by recording your pulse even
where you will find missing pulse. It may be benign not of much significance if very
ocassional. But to see your doctor is must to rule out major cause for it. Thanks
Im going to the doctor for it, but thought I would ask anyways for an idea. I haven t had this problem before until lately but now when I drink beverages with sugar my heart skips beats. And it did it pretty much non-stop when I was drinking cool-aid so I changed my drinking habits to cranberry juice and various other drinks ,and it happened alot less. But it was still there until I started drinking morning joy orange juice and it didnt happen once all day. But as soon as I go back to drinking something else it happens though, even vitamin water,so I was just wondering why is this happening. Is there something in Morning Joy Orange Juice that calms the heart? And why now would this be happening to me Im 22 years old and haven t had this problem before.
I know this is probably going to sound like nothing, but uou know the feeling when your heart skips a beat ? Well, for the last couple of weeks I ve been getting that feeling in my chest at least once a day, like my heart is skipping a beat. There s no situation causing it and I don t feel nervous or anything. I don t like to trouble doctors, especially over small things. Do you think this could be something? Or just nothing? By the way I m only 23... I don t drink coffee, barely have tea and don t drink fizzy drinks - I mainly just drink water. I ve been very tired lately but it may be because I m due on in a week. I admit I don t exercise as much as I should but I m still within my BMI healthy range. I don t eat excessive amounts of chocolate or sweet things either - I went on a diet recently and ever since my cravings for a lot of things have diminished! lol It s true I m about to start my last year at university and I have a LOT of work to do as well as applying for masters and funding (I m wanting to do it abroad - don t make it easy for myself eh?? lol :-P) I ve been sitting at the computer now for an hour an a half and I ve had the feeling at least 5 or 6 times now just sitting here. Also have diabetes running in one side of my family and heart problems in the other.
I HAVE HEART PAPLPATATIONS PRIMARILY IN THE EVENING WHERE I CAN FEEL MY HEART BEATING BUT WITH NO PAIN. SOMETIMES FEELS LIKE IT SKIPS A BEAT. I CAN ALSO FEEL IT WHEN IM WORKING OUT. I HAVE NEVER HAD THESE BEFORE UNTIL I STARTED THYROID MEDS A YEAR AGO.
Hey, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and the effects were secondary amenorrhea and bradycardia. My resting rate rate then was 45 and they said it could be reversed but I was wondering if it was possible to reverse it in a week? I ve been following their orders of eating more for about 5 days now and my resting heart rate is between 70-80 every time I check it.
I had a herpetic whitlow - sp? which caused lymphangitis, or red streaking up my hand and arm - about the same time, my heart started beating irregularly and I went on a 7 day course of Keflex. While on the Keflex, my heart was fine. The minute I went off the Keflex, the palpitations came back. I ve worn a heart monitor and was told that 2% of my heartbeats are extra but what I feel is that there is some sort of infection at play here even though my bloodwork has come back normal. Thoughts?
I have recurrent atrial fibrillation status post radio frequency ablation and bilateral thoracotomy this seems to be made wose during high stress job experiences as a nurse anesthetist will I just have continue to work like this or does this condition qualify for disability
My name is Jennifer. I am a 41 year old female, 5 9 , 125 LB. Over the past 10 years I have had symptoms of arrhythmias , chest pain, breathing problems (inability to breath deeply), coughing and severe hoarseness usually coinciding with the other problems. It seems to be getting slowly worse as I get older. I sleep sitting up. If I lay down I risk waking up with significant chest pain, choking and arrhythmias. I tried to get a diagnosis in my 30 s but no one found the source of my problem before I lost my insurance and stopped pursuing it. I recently went to a chiropractor and had x-rays taken. There is significant compression and misalignment between C3 and C4. There is also some arthritic changes between these vertebrae. I used to break horses when I was in my early 20 s and at one point directly fell on my head and was knocked out. I assume that is what caused this particular injury. My question is could this injury be causing the arrhythmias, chest pain, breathing problems and hoarseness? I know you can t answer with certainty I am just curious if it is a possibility. Thank you for your time, Jennifer
I have high blood pressure(165/110) and was put on Lisinoprin 3 weeks ago and it has come down about 30 points...however i have head aches and have shortness of breath . I wake up at night and feel like i'm not getting enough oxygen . I weigh 260...
I was diagnosed with attrial flutters ( arrhythmia ) and the cardiologist did a cardio version and a subsequent EKG showed the condition was corrected. The doctor has me on Xarelto and a beta blocker . I feel fine and I am wondering if I can drink...
My husband is 80 years old and has been diagnosed with congenial heart dease. His heart is only pumping half the speed of a normal heart beat. And now his lungs are filling with fluid. He also has Alzheimer's.
