Why Does My Child Have Loose Stools After Gastroenteritis And Viral?
my daughter 1and a half year old...recently has developed loose foul smelling stools especially I've noticed since the past 2 days whenever she drinks milk..she had a bout of gastroenteritis..viral for which she was on antibiotics..dr. told to shift to formula milk...now since loose stool there...has prescribed zerolac milk powder what to do...why this problem....her oral intale ok...baby active

It is usual for young babies to pass motion after each feed due to brisk gastrocolic reflex.
Viral infection do not respond to antibiotic .
Zerolac is given for lactase deficiency.
Better to get the stool examined for reducing sugars before stopping milk.
breast milk is the best milk for the baby,continue breast feeding.
