Why Does My 15yr Old Son Have No Pubic Hair, Underarm Hair And Has Grown 6 Inches In A Year And Will He Grow In The Same Pace In The Next Year Also?

I have a 15 year old son who has grown 6 inches over the last year but has no underarm hair- I assume no pubic hair. Seems like late blooming but I am curious if he will continue to grow in height over the next year at the same pace. I'm 5'-8 and he is now 5'-9". Son's uncle on moms side is 6-6" but was always tall.

Pediatrician 's  Response
It is hard to predict the pace of his growth over the next year. However, at his age, and considering the rapid height gain in the last year, pubic hair and axillary hair would have been expected. Though this could still be seen as a normal variant, it would be prudent to have your son evaluated by an endocrinologist. You should consult with your doctor about this so that the appropriate referral can be made.
