Why Does Baby's Breathing Sound Labored?

My 6 week old son had a difficult birth. We dealt with shoulder dystocia and meconium aspiration syndrome. (he was over 11 pds at birth) I did not have Gest.diabetes. He has been very raspy but the Dr says it is because of his traumatic birth and his vocal chords being scratched from suctioning. She said to give it a couple weeks. He is now 6 weeks and he is still raspy and at times his nose flares. My question is this: How long will this last for? Several Dr's have checked him and they say his lungs sound perfect. why does his breathing sound so labored?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here let me explain you something first of as the doctor said that this could be trauma to the vocal cord so this could have been possible but as a matter of fact some physiological secretion in the trachea could produce such sound and this could be due to narrow trachea, nothing to worry about this it would come around later or sooner have a nice day.
