Why Do My Heart Skip A Beat Occasionally?

Hi, I am 55 years old Indian. Suffered and survived a heart attack in year 2000. Angiogram was done and about 30 % of LAD was blocked. Doctor advised not to do stenting, only on medications and was advice to take care diet and exercise. Currently on tab enalapril and aspirin. Missed heart beat is worrying me. Pls advice

Abnormal heart rhythm in a cardiac patient has to be evaluated thoroughly. It might be a condition called as heart block and has to be intervened immediately. Consult a cardiologist and take serial EKG monitoring to check whether the heart rhythm is normal or not. In most cases it can be a transient skipped beat and no treatment is required. If in case of conditions like heart block you have to star on drugs like atropine.
