My ears have constantly been popping unwillingly for almost a year now. I also asked a few of my friends to put their ears to mine and see if they could hear the popping and it just so happens that they could. Sometimes I get what feels like a little bit of drainage from my ears also. I have tried the method of inhaling steam and blowing one nostril at a time, and I have also tried the method of taking a breath in, plugging my nose and putting pressure onto my ears. Neither of those methods have worked and I am starting to worry a little bit, what could be going on in my ears?
in my opinion you are suffering from middle ear muscle myoclonus. Treatment of these middle ear muscle spasm syndromes is usually reassurance. Tinnitus coping strategies of counselling, relaxation and anxiety reduction are standard practice. BOTOX injection are also used in corresponding muscle. or last treatment is to cut the tendon away of muscle.
