Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain in case if you have Thrush and not resolving you may have some underlying cause for it like taking antibiotics, steroids or oral contraceptives, hormonal changes during
menstruation, pregnancy and menopause, stress,
uncontrolled diabetes,HIV/AIDS, Dry mouth,
chemotherapy and radiation, very poor
oral hygiene, denture wearing,smoking etc..
At times when the underlying cause is not treated the Thrush does not resolve or keeps recurring..
You need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated along with a complete medical history as well as a microscopic examination of the coating..
If needed you will be referred to a concerned specialist for treatment of the underlying case..
If not a proper course of
oral antifungal agents like Fluconazole,Itraconazole can be given..
In resistant cases Amphtericin B is also given orally..
Nystatin mouthwashes, antifungal lozenges and probiotics like Youghurt and garlic has to be continued..
Hope this information helps..
