OBGYN Dr. Nidhi Sharma Chauhan's  Response
irregular periods is of concern when you are planning a pregnancy. if get delayed or irregular periods you have to find out if you are ovulating or not, also some hormonal tests (serum lh,fsh on second day of period, thyroid profile, prolactin ) need to be done. also your progesterone level needs to be checked once ovulation is documented. you will also need to get a sonography of the uterus and ovaries done.
