Psychiatrist 's  Response
Premature ejaculation is a common problem and can be managed easily by behavioural techniques as advised by Dr Padhy. Anxiety is one of the imporatnt cause for this problem. Anxiety can be due to apprehension of being caught by others during the act or as a part of anxiety disorder. It is important not to hurry in such situations as they can become a habit, which continue even when there is no reason to be anxious.
If problem persists, it is advisable to consult a psychiatrist as such problems have the potential to adversely affect marital relationships.

Psychiatrist Dr. Susanta Padhy's  Response
Thanks for the question
This happens for the beginners, people who are in hurry. However, not at all to worry. You can use "squeeze technique" to delay your intercourse, which you can do alone or your partner can help in that. Also, a long acting selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor taken 1 hr before will work. And pass some time after 1st ejaculation by talking or taking a coffee etc, so that the refractory period will be exhausted rather than trying hard to have intercourse. In fact males do have refractory period but not females. Wish you all the best. Further can be discussed.
