welcome to health care magic,
mostly the cause for irregular bleeding is hormonal disturbance for which hormonal treatment is given but for this to be effective it should be taken properly and not stopped suddenly. so follow your doctor and do not self medicate.

Pediatrician Dr. Suryakanta Baraha's  Response
irregular periods may be due to hormonal imbalance.
continue the drug provided by your doctor for 3 to 4 cycles to get your periods regular.dont stop in between.
If vaginal bleeding does not stop, despite taking the tablets correctly or heavy bleeding reoccurs while you are taking the tablets, you should contact your doctor. Your doctor will need to consider other causes for the bleeding.
take care
