Why do I get abdominal pain and diarrhea after a meniscus tear surgery?

I have abdominal pain that hurts more after meals and when I press on my lower left side. I have been unable to properly move my bowels for 4 days even though I have taken ducolax and miralax. All I get is diarrhea or small stools even though I always feel like I have to go. I just had meniscus tear surgery last week and had been taking pain pills.

Hi there my name is Jeff, I had surgery on a bucket handle tear in my meniscus. It has been 19 days today since my surgery and everything has been going well so far until tonight. I inadvertently planted my leg that had surgery on the ground and must ve put 90% of my weight on it. I looked at the knee and moved it in motions that didn t cause any pain. Am I going to be okay or should I get another MRI?

hi my name is tom - saw an orthopedic surgeon and was told i have a menistus tear - he was not that informative - i did not know what questions to ask and my options - after doping a little research on my own i have come up with a number of questions - i think i have a minor tear - since the menistur is a living tissue wil it heal itself - if surgery is recommended what is the procedure - is it repaired - is it removed - please comment - i have only slight pain and am using a hinged brace when working outside - oh yes i am 75 years young - thanks
