Why Do I Feel Wasp Stings On The Sun Burn Affected Area?

I m 43, 5 11 and 200lbs. I take meds for high blood pressure, chloesterol and tyhroid disorder. I sustained a 2nd degree sunburn 3 weeks ago. The last two days I have this sensation like a wasp is stinging in one isolated area. The area is where the sunburn was the worst. Could this be nerve ending damage? If so what can I do to treat it? Quite painful not to mention annoying.

Hi...2nd degree burn needs to be treated carefully as the chances to convert to 3rd degree is always there in case of infection...
You can treat it yourself...
Clean the area, wash it frequently, apply polyfax plus ,use antiallergic, and anti inflamatory like ibuprofen....when there is burn there is damage to nerve endings but remeber it regenerates by itself...
So important is to keep it clean and prevent from infection..
When the wound is heald then for scar fadding you should use scarease gel...use sunblock when going again out in the sun....thanks
