Why Do I Feel Pain In Esophagus After Eating That Reduces On Drinking Milk?

I have been under an enormous amount of stress this past 3 months and the last few days I am experiencing some pain in my aesophagus especially after eating,,,it seems to abate if i have a glass of milk but not alwasys can you suggest something from the chemist ?

Stress can worsen the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease.

There are different families of medications that can be used but the proton pump inhibitors would be the most helpful. This would include medications such as prevacid, prilosec, zegerid, protinix, nexium.

One of these may be available at your local pharmacy. It can sometimes take a few hours to a day to feel the full effect of the medication.
