Why Did Baclofen 10 Mg Make My Cousin, Who Is Throat Cancer Survivor, Sleep?
Hi, my 60 yr. old cousin is a throat cancer survivor but can t eat food & he has lost so much down to 145 lbs. Dr. told him that he d have to take Baclofen 10 mg. or he will die!! This med. made him sleep for 2 days & severe headaches. Is this the only solution? Thanks for your help!!

Hi,
baclofen is a GABA receptor agonist and hence it produuces sedation. it acts in a similar way diazepam acts. it also has got muscle relaxation property.
If the side effects are sever you can switch to safer alternatives like tramadol or buprenorphine.
