Pulmonologist 's  Response
Depekote is having sodium valproate and used for bipolar disorder, epilepsy etc. It has hepatic metabolism. In rare case this can cause hepatic side effects. Might be due to this reason ammonia has been checked by your doctor. And regarding fever, I think collapsed lung with secondary infectioncan cause fever. Consult pulmonologist for this. And in anti epileptic drugs we should check drug levels as and when indicated.as anti epileptic drugs have many interaction with other drugs.
