Why Blood In Stool? HGB Was Abnormal, Why? Ideas?

Hi I have a friend that had a bout of blood in her stool and was found to have an ulcer when they scoped her with an upper endoscopy , however it was not bleeding. Her HGB was 7 and was given 3 units of blood and was discharged home with out patient follow up. She then started to have blood in her urine but no red blood cells. She had a CT scan with and without contrast and said it showed nothing. Thoughts?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi
Bleeding from more than one source, unrelated / severe enough to need transfusion...suggest the need for thorough / exhaustive investigations - especially bleeding diathesis.
I suggest that you should see a haematologist (specialist in blood) in a good tertiary care centre, as soon as possible.
One should not miss a treatable condition / Early diagnosis better treatment
Good luck
God bless you
