Why Baby Is Refusing To Take Bottle Milk For The Whole Day?

My 5 month old baby refuse to take the bottle yesterday. She had 4 oz of milk in the morning and then didn't want to drink at all during the rest of the day. She is happy and smiling when we took the bottle away from her. We finally had to hand feed her using a medicine syringe at night and got 3.5 oz around 8:30 last night. We thought she is teething and got her oral gel. That didn't seem to work either. What could be the cause?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

4oz is approximately 120 ml. The capacity of infant stomach is 10 ml per kilogramme of body weight. Feeding her 4 oz is too much a time.
I would suggest you to feed less quantity and feed more frequently.
Let the feeds be on demand. Stop when the child is not taking further, and feed anytime the child demands for it
In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
