Why Are Anti-CCP And Specific CRP Tests Ordered In Case Of Arthritis?
I am a patient of Rheumatoid Arthritis & have been on Folitrax and medrol for more than a year. Earlier my bigger joints were involved but now fingers of my left hand also have acute pain. I have been advised anti ccp and highly specific CRP by my doctor. What are these tests for and shall i ever be alright or shall have to live like this

anti ccp is an antibody which is tested in blood and comes out positive in about 70% peoplewithRA.
CRP is an inflammatory marker that tells us something about the disease activity.
sadly RA is a chronic disease just like diabetesor hypertension.
It is controllable but not curable.
