Why Am I Low And Cant Feel It ?

I am a diabetic and i had just recently checked my blood sugar and it was 45 and it surprised me because my body did not give of the proper symptoms. My eyesight was fine i had small tingling in my fingers but nothing serious i did not feel tired. That scares me because my body at 45 should not be acting like that. What could be wrong with me?
