Why Am I Bleeding During Pregnancy?

I am 7 wks 2 days pregnant. I have been bleeding since last Saturday. I had an ultrasound and the baby is measuring a week behind what it did last week and the fluid around the baby is low. What is happening? Can I help this? What are my chances of miscarriage?

Hi I am Dr.D.Karthiga Sasi Kumar from Pondicherry
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I understand your concern.

Since the gestational age is lagging about a week and the fluid level is low, chances of miscarriage seems to be high, any how don't worry, some drugs like micronised progesterones, intramuscular progesterones are available in the market to keep the uterus calm. In the mean time you should monitor the progress after a week or two weeks time using an Ultrasound. Also you should take proper bed rest and nutritious diet and hope the best.
Hope this answer satisfies your query.
Feel free to consult me in future if necessary .

Thank you.
