Why Am I Told To Take Folic Acid And Ferrous Sulphate Tablet ?
hi im 30 years old and my dr has given me folic acid ans ferrous sulphate tablets he has also put me on b12 injections wich i have been told that ill have for the rest of my life he didnt explain to me why he has put me on these medications but has also took blood tests for coeliac disease can u help me understand why x

it is common to have its low level
but u not need to injection every time.
once ur level is come then u can start tablets.

You have been given folic acid, ferrous sulphate and vitamin B12. These are generally given for those who are anemic and have vitamin deficiency. The most common reason for this deficiency is taking a diet which is not a balanced diet.
I don't think you have to take these medicines for life long, you may be asked to stop it by your Doctor once your deficiency is corrected and you feel better.
