Why Am I Having Pain On The Left Side Of The Chest?

I am experiencing mild pain on the left side of the chest just below clavicle bone and to the left arm for the last few weeks. When I do some massages with ointment like vicks vapourub and do body stretching exercises it goes off for sometimes. What is the cause or this symptoms about?
