Hello,

You are suffering from upper abdominal pain radiating towards the back. You are having acid reflux and thus discomfort. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get routine blood tests and imaging tests done to detect medical conditions that can cause such symptoms. Medical conditions like Ulcer (peptic or esophageal ulcer), appendicitis, gall stone problems, GERD, liver dysfunction, etc., can cause such symptoms also.

You are suggested to avoid taking oily food, spicy food, junk food, heavily processed food, packaged food, etc. Take home made nutritious food, prefer to take boiled food over oily food. You can take liver tonics to help better digestion. Take antacids or PPIs, one SOS when needed. You will get relieve. You can take PPIs, once daily for 7-10 days. Take high fiber diet, take adequate water so that bowel movement is better and easier. You can take laxatives if needed. Get clinically examined by a GP, you will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
