You could be having Urethral syndrome where there is no infection but severe pain. The reason is intermittent spasm and narrowing of the muscles of bladder and urethral sphincter causing inability to relax and severe pain. The cause could be due to bladder interstitial cystitis which won't be shown in urine test and needs cystoscopy. It could be due to nerve irritation also. It is associated with anxiety, depression and seen in women of 13-70 years of age. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to ankalinise the urine and reduce symptoms. Treatment will include proper diagnosis first, following which anti-spasmodics, muscle relaxants, anaesthetics will help. Consult your Urologist on these possibilities as there are many ways to relieve your pain.
