Please tell me why I feel so cold and chilled whenever I m indoors? The a/c is on all over the place, but I seem to be the only one that is bothered by it. I am 59 yrs. old. I still get hot flashes every now and then, but mostly I m cold. The 100 degree weather outside feels pretty good for a while. When I come home from work in the evening I have to lay down and take a 2 hour nap. I am literally chilled with the covers on. When I wake up I m fine. Everyone says I m crazy at work because I m so cold.

I have been having vaginal dryness, itching, cracked skin, with bleeding for several years. I have been given estrogen creams , pills, none of which have done no good whatsoever. Drs always check for infection, but never find any infection. I had a hysterectomy at the age of 34 years, leaving one ovary. I am trying to manage the pain with over the counter vaginal creams and lotions, none of which give much relief. Can you tell me what might be wrong? Doris Bishop

I had a complete hysterectomy in January 2010 and have been on Estradiol pretty much since. I currently take 1 mg by mouth as I am allergic to patches. I also take calcium/Vit.D as well as other vitamins/supplements. I am now considering bariatric surgery (sometime around July/August) due to my long-term diabetes and the surgeon says I must go off the Estradiol. My concerns include becoming a raving mad woman, hot flashes, vaginal dryness and loss of libido as I am in a sexual relationship. What would be the best way to wean off the Estradiol with the (hopefully) least side effects? Thank you
