Hello,

You may be suffering from what is termed EXCESSIVE DAYTIME SLEEPINESS (EDS) which can be from a variety of causes.

EDS is most often caused by simple factors involving lifestyle changes to actual organic problems such as SLEEP APNEA, NARCOLEPSY, other PARASOMNIA, or endocrinological/metabolic disorders, etc.

Your best bet is to see your physician for an evaluation of your situation and possible referral to a sleep center for an evaluation and recommendations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
