Whom To Consult For Suspected Sebaceous Cyst On Head?

I may have a sebaceous cyst developing on the left side of my head.....not sure.......small round raing...small...maybe 1/2" diameter, but not very high, and no clear boundary. My mom's family has a history of them. What kind of doctor should I see if it continues to get bigger? Thank you.

Hello dear,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

For sebaceous cyst, the best treatment is the complete excision of cyst itself.

You may visit a Dermatologist who will examine the lesion so as to confirm the diagnosis and will advice you accordingly.

I hope it helps.

Stay healthy.
