Which Surgery Is A Better Option For Fibroid?

I am 48 years old. Found out yesterday that I have a 8cm (I was told it was the size of a tennis ball) fibroid sitting on my bladder which causes frequent urination. I am considering my options including DaVinci surgery to do a myomectomy (sorry can't spell it) vs a hysterectomy. I work full time and have three teens. The recovery time is a huge deter ant but I need to get rid of this fibroid. Your views?

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
Choice of surgery for a symptomatic fibroid depends upon various factors.
Without having your full history, examination findings & lab reports, it is impossible to say what is best for you.
However, whichever surgery you choose, keep in mind that a Laparoscopically done procedure is associated with a quicker recovery in most cases. Rest, you should discuss with your doctor.
Wish you all the best.
