Hello. Can someone help? I have a perforated ear drum in my right ear due to a cotton swab too far into my ear canal. It was bleeding lightly this morning, and again several hours later. I feel fluid in my right ear and have a dr. Appt tomorrow morning. Which side should I sleep on???

Hi,You can sleep on any side.
If you sleep with the right side down, then some bleeding might come down, and if you sleep with the left side down, then bleeding if occured might remain collected in right ear.

Dont worry as in such type of injury, there is not much bleeding from the ear.

Also, you have made an opinion that your ear drum might have perforated due to cotton swab.It might be possible that Ear drum might be alright, only injury would have occured in the ear canal, which would be diagnosed after consultation with an ENT Specialist Doctor.

Hope this answer your question.Take care.
