Which Scan Result Of The Baby Is Correct?

hi doc,

im right now 34 weeks.durin my anomaly scan babys cerebral lat. ventricle measures 6.5 mm.

last week we took growth scan it says, left vent- 9.7mm right vent- 12 mm..

but we recheckd the same ventricle measurement, same day..it says left 5.6 and right 5.1 ..how is it possible? which measurement is correct..

Thanks for writing in.

Ventricular measurement is highly variable among physicians. Most tend to prefer measuring upper limits while some prefer recording lower limits. It also depends on the position of the fetus and the image section while making a measurement. In your case I would suggest you not to worry and take the measurements as upper limits of normal. There may be a mild over estimation due to operator and image acquired.
